Who we are
Berachah synergies is a consultancy firm founded on the basis of enhancing the capacities of development practitioners with a view to laying a firm foundation for sustainable development and renewal of the minds.
The firm was formed to respond to a strong need for participative and systematic processes for improving the capacities and performance of Government, Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Faith Based Organizations as well as specific programmes and projects in combating poverty and its causes.
Our competencies
Berachah synergies offers client based technical support through research, development and capacity building initiatives. Much of the work done is context based but informed by the vast experience gained in the development field.
Key areas of involvement include the following:
- Supporting Government and Non-Governmental Organizations, civil society organizations, as well as programmes and projects in designing and strategic planning, strategic visioning as well as in the development and documentation of these strategic documents.
- Conducting various research and evaluations that include baseline surveys, project and programme evaluations.
- Conducting various assessments that include organizational capacity assessment, viability assessment, OD assessment, impact assessment, risk assessment as well as drought/disaster risk assessment.
- Technical support in Information, Communication and Technological.
- Supporting organizations and institutions in setting up M&E Systems as well as in the documentation of best practices and case studies for use in impact reporting.
- Facilitating peace initiatives including designing and implementation of peace frameworks, administering Local Capacities for Peace and peace context analysis.
- Supporting organizations in development of core strategic documents which include Code of ethics, Human Resource manuals and Financial Manuals.
- Supporting in specialized the review of technical and strategic documents including policy documents, strategic plans and reports.
- Supporting Non-Governmental Organizations and Civil Society Organizations in resource mobilizations, fundraising initiatives and proposal development processes.
- Enhancing the capacities of staff of various Government and Non-Governmental organizations and institutions through conducting various in-house and on-site training on the following areas:
- Designing/strategic planning
- Monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects.
- Reporting and Report writing including impact reporting and participatory monitoring and evaluation
- Sustainable/Transformed Livelihood Approach
- Organizational and Institutional development.
- Participatory Rural Appraisal and Participatory Learning and Action
- Community Managed Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR) including planning in a DRR context.
- Project management including Project Cycle management
- Resource Mobilization, Fundraising and Proposal writing
